Surangana

Surangana is a musical instrument workshop and retailer based in Dum Dum, Kolkata, with over 25 years of craft and more than 5,000 harmoniums built by hand. Their instruments — made from seasoned Burma teak, precision-tuned reeds, and multi-fold bellows — are played by musicians, students, and devotional singers across India and in more than 30 countries.

The challenge was to carry the weight of that workshop reputation into an online store. Buyers of specialist instruments do not buy on price alone; they buy on provenance, specification, and trust. The site needed to communicate the artisanship before asking for the sale — and then make the buying process straightforward, from browsing nine instrument categories to pincode-based delivery checks.

Stackmonks built the complete WooCommerce store: homepage with a three-panel hero carousel (harmoniums, tabla, guitars), a “Shop By Categories” section spanning Harmonium, Tabla, Tanpura, Flute, Guitar, Keyboard, Violin, Drum, and Cajon, individual product pages with detailed specifications (keys, bellows, octaves, reed sets, wood type, scale), flash-sale and latest-arrivals sections, a trusted-brands wall, and a testimonials section. The About page was written to position Surangana as a heritage workshop, and the Contact page surfaces the Kolkata address, phone, and email alongside a map.
